Setup and Use
Release carrier from base: Squeeze the base release handle and lift the car
seat out of the base.
Harness: adjust fit to child: Harness straps must be at or below child's shoulders. To loosen
harness, push down on harness release lever located on lower front of seat. Pull on harness, at
the chest clip while pressing the release lever.
Harness Slots: To adjust harness height, squeeze the headrest
adjustment button located at top of headrest, then move headrest up
or down to proper harness height position. For smaller babies, shorten
headrest by folding bottom flap up and behind as shown.
Buckle: There are two buckle positions. The correct slot is the one
closest to the child, without being underneath them. To adjust, push
metal buckle clip up through the shell and cover. Reinsert metal clip
into correct slot, make sure red button faces out, and metal clip is fully
through cover and seat shell. To shortened buckle strap for low birth
weight infants, place buckle in rear slot position, then J-route metal clip into front slot of shell.
Metal clip should remain flat against seat.
Additional Padding: Only on select models. Infant body support insert can only be used for
infants 12 pounds or less. Make sure harness covers do not interfere with chest clip placement.
Rolled towels are allowed for body support, if body support pillow was not included.
Recline Adjustment: Recline adjuster is located on front of base. Squeeze
adjuster and lift to extend the foot. Recline indicator is located on side of base,
blue indicator must be in correct area correlating to the child's age. Black lines for
0+ months and Black lines for 3+ months. Use corrected age for preemies. If
correct angle cannot be achieved with recline foot, store the foot, then use a
tightly rolled towel for recline adjustment.
