7 The next screen asks you configure an FTP server. The FTP server is used for syslog log file downloads to
Vantage CNM and firmware uploads from Vantage CNM to ZyXEL device(s). Follow the instructions in the
screen.
8 Make sure that you have selected FTP Server application packet when you installed Linux. Make sure that
vsftpd is enabled on Linux.
Check that the FTP Daemon vsftpd is installed by entering the command

Make sure that the listen=YES command displays.
Add the clause chroot_local_user=yes
In the Terminal screen run the command
[root@localhost Vantage-CNM]# cp /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf /etc/vsftpd.conf
Add a user and assign a folder to that user by typing as follows
[root@localhost Vantage-CNM]# useradd -d /var/ftp/pub -M followed by a name; for example
test.
