- When used outdoors, install only to a covered Class A GFCI protected receptacle that is weatherproof with the power unit connected to the receptacle. If one is not provided, contact a qualified electrician for proper installation. Ensure that the power unit and cord do not interfere with completely closing the receptacle cover.
- Do not use an appliance leakage current interrupter (ALCI) in place of a GFCI since the ALCI will not protect people

HQUA-SP-PN01 is a swimming pool led light, which is very easy to install and safety. It could easily fit for your old wet niche (light fixture). Replace it with this LED light and face ring. The output voltage is 12V DC, which is not harmful for human body at all. It could provide enough light equal to the 300W incandescent bulb Hereby, we will introduce the structure, specification and installation of the unit.

Installation
Precaution
Keep people out of the swimming pool when you operate the installation.
Always turn off the main electrical switch or circuit breaker.
Power Notice: Our transformer works by converting from 120V AC to 12V DC and pass through 100' electric cord and light the LED light. You could also leave our transformer behind if you have 12V DC power that could serve the led light. But you might need to consider of the voltage drop of the electric cord depending how long you use it.

- Remove the old face ring, then remove the light assembly from the niche. Put the face ring and the light on the pool deck.
-
- If you want to use the old electric cord. We provide a waterproof connector (Figure 3.) that would help you connect the old electric cord with our led light. You could remain 5-10 ft electric cords behind our led light. (White is positive; Black is negative)
- If you want to use our new led light. Cut off the old electric cord behind the old one Use a fish tape reel puller to remove the old electric cords and replace new cords. (you might need to disconnect the connector on the 100' cords side first, Please don't disassemble the connector on the input electric cord. Figure 1.) Reserve enough cords on the pool side so you could replace the light in the future. (We would provide light assembly and waterproof connector as a replacement kit. The customer could just replace the led light without replacing the whole electric cord which is in a good condition. Contact us through email if you want it.)
- Using a rag to dry the water on the electric cord. Connect the transformer with the new electric cord through a waterproof connector Figure 3 Fit the white cord into the Terminal "1 "(the red buckle) and the black cord into the Terminal "2"(the blue buckle).

- Roll remain electric cords around the led light assembly, put it into the wet niche. Screw on the face ring to secure the light assembly into the niche. Figure 4.
![]()
- Plug the transformer into the socket and switch on the main switch or circuit breaker to the system. Test the led light with no one in the swimming pool. The led light should illuminate when the power is applied. If not, please shut off the power supply and recheck the installation from step 1.
Notice: If you want to connect the LED light without using our 100' cords. You could cut and strip it at a distance from the LED light. And use our waterproof connector which provided in the package to fix that with your old electric cords and power supply. But make sure it would be 12V DC IN. 120V AC would destroy the light. That would not be contained in our warranty if it happens by mistake.
