ESTORING THE
Should your system not function correctly, you have the op-
portunity to recover the original set-up.

IMITS OF THE
Changes made to the original configuration (RAS, Desk-
top or Internet settings) and installed Software will be ig-
nored by this Recovery and will not be reloaded.
Driver Updates or hardware installed by you will be ig-
nored by this Recovery.
Beware! All data on drive C will be erased. If necessary,
backup all required data on drive D.
This recovery will reset your system to its condition at deliv-
ery. Printer installations or other additional software must be
reinstalled. You will also need to enter the Product Key (Li-
cense Number) again.
Attention! If you delete the directory
E:\Recover or the files located there a recov-
ery is no longer possible. For safety reasons
you can copy the file RETTEN.EXE and all
other RETTEN.00X files to a CD-Recordable.

ARRYING OUT A
1. First, please read the entire Restore section of the Win-
dows Help file.
2. Insert the Support-CD and reboot the PC.
Attention! Do not use the Product Recovery
CD-ROM for restoration purposes. This disk
does not restore the original set-up. You can
use it when an individual set up is required.
3. Select the option Start from CD-ROM.
4. In the restore menu which now appears, please select 1
and follow the on-screen instructions
5. The PC restarts to its original factory settings.
