PS-2LSP Series
Liquid Static Pressure Transmitters, Nema 4X
Product Description
The PS-2LSP Series transmitter is designed with a single remote sensor that enables it to accept high pressure in several ranges up to 500
PSI, 35 Bar or 3500 kPa. All models can handle overload pressure 2X the maximum full-scale range and burst pressure is 5X the maximum
full-scale range.
Features include field selectable pressure ranges and output signal types, output reversal and slow-dampening for the most flexible
applications. The output signal is factory calibrated and temperature compensated for the highest start-up accuracy.
Ensure that the maximum individual port pressure does not exceed the highest pressure range of the unit. For example, the
highest individual port pressure on a PS-2LSP0100P Range Code is 100 PSI. Exceeding this may damage the sensors and
give erroneous readings. See Figure 13 for ratings.
General Installation Requirements
For proper installation and subsequent operation of each device, pay special attention to the following recommendations:
-
Upon unpacking the product, inspect the contents of the carton for shipping damages. Do not install damaged device.
-
Avoid areas where corroding, deteriorating or explosive vapors, fumes or gases may be present.
-
Ensure that all equipment is installed according to local, regional, and national regulations.
Personal injury or loss of life may occur if you do not follow a procedure as specified.
Equipment damage or loss of data may occur if you do not follow a procedure as specified.
Take reasonable precautions to prevent electrostatic discharges to the controller when installing, servicing or operating the
controller. Discharge accumulated static electricity by touching one's hand to a well-grounded object before working with
the controller.

  • Page 2: Mounting Instructions

Mounting Instructions The transmitter mounts on a vertical surface using the two integrated mounting holes. The remote sensor cable connection should be located on the bottom of the enclosure. The two mounting holes will facilitate a #10 size screw (not supplied). See Figure 2. Figure 2: Mounting Ensure there is enough space around the unit to make the electrical connections and that it is within an acceptable distance for the length of remote sensor cable.

  • Page 4 Plumbing The S/S pressure sensor incorporates 1/4” NPT male threads for connection to the pipe being monitored. See Figure 7. Figure 7: Connecting the pressure sensors Do not allow material to fall into the pressure ports as contamination could damage the sensors. It is recommended to use Teflon tape to prevent leaks.

Configuration Most configuration is done using User Menu setting with LCD and push buttons on the PCB. See User Menu section for details. The transmitter must not have power applied during set up or when making changes to the output signal. Output Selection The transmitter comes with user-selectable outputs of 4-20 mA, 0-5 Vdc and 0-10 Vdc.

Figure 13: Pressure Range Operation During normal mode the device reads the pressure sensor and calculates the pressure value depending on the device model range and the selected pressure range. The pressure value is then displayed on the LCD and set as the output value for the analog output. The output value is updated once per second.
