Note: All ingredients must go into the removable cooking pot.
Closing the Lid

- Close and lock the lid by aligning the locking pin on the lid with the unlocked icon on the base, then turn the lid counterclockwise until the locking pin meets the lock icon.
- The lid will lock automatically when it is properly aligned and closed.
- While cooking under pressure you will not be able to open the lid until all of the internal pressure is released.
Panel Anatomy

LCD Screen: Interactive screen displays all the functions and settings. The screen is blue when programming your settings, and turns green when unit is cooking.
START/STOP: Used to start & stop the unit.
ADJUST: Used when you want to adjust pressure, temperature and cooking time.
KEEP WARM: Used to warm your food. Will also automatically activate once cooking time has ended.
DIAL KNOB: Turn knob navigates through the different functions and settings.
MENU: Used to return to the main menu.
TIME DELAY: Used to delay the start of the cooking process. Push TIME DELAY and use the dial to adjust the time when cooking should being.
PANEL LOCK: Used to lock and unlock the buttons. To lock or unlock, press and hold the button.
The Regulator Knob
Before cooking you'll need to set the pressure regulator knob to the correct position. Align the dot on the base of the lid with the STEAM or PRESSURE position on the knob itself depending on the cooking function selected.

To Remove the Regulator Knob:
- Press down while turning the pressure regulator knob counterclockwise past STEAM to the CLEAN setting.
- Carefully lift to remove for cleaning.
End of Cooking Process
The unit will switch to KEEP WARM when the cooking time is done. You can now release pressure. There are 2 release methods:

- Quick Release Method: Release the pressure quickly by turning the regulator knob to the STEAM position.
- Natural Release Method: Stop the KEEP WARM function and turn the unit off completely. This lets the pressure drop naturally without turning the regulator knob to STEAM. This will take several minutes, during which the food inside will continue cooking. You'll know when the pressure has been fully released because the floating valve will drop and you will be able to open the lid.
Step by Step Use of Your LUX LCD
- Plug the unit into a power outlet. Turn the dial to select a main function. As you scroll the function will blink until you press the knob to select it. Remember to place your food in the removable cooking pot and not directly into the base of the unit.

- Once you've selected your function, the setting menu will appear to the right. Turn the dial to select your setting. Each setting will blink until you press the knob to select it. Once selected, the panel will allow you to adjust the preset cooking time and temperature or pressure level.

- To adjust the time, temperature or pressure level use the dial. Use the ADJUST button to switch between the cooking time and pressure or temperature. Press the START/STOP button to start cooking. You'll notice the screen will turn green and the preheating icon and bar will appear.

- The unit will beep once it's done preheating and will switch to the cooking time. Once done, the unit will beep continuously until you release the pressure (when cooking under pressure). It will automatically turn to the KEEP WARM function until you press START/STOP to cancel the program. Once all the pressure is released you can open the lid.
