When making calls off the Nationwide Sprint
Network, always dial using 11 digits (1 + area code +
phone number).
You can also place calls from your phone by speed
dialing numbers from your Contacts (page 29), using
Voice Dial (page 91), using your History listings
(page 65), and Voice Services (page 91).

Dialing Options

When you enter numbers in standby mode, you will
see a variety of dialing options displayed as softkeys on
the phone's screen.
To send a message to the number, press
(left softkey).

Tip
To speed dial a phone number from standby mode,

dial number is two digits, enter the first digit, and then
press and hold the second digit. (For information on

Speed Dial Numbers" on page 71.) (This feature will
not work when you are roaming off the Nationwide
Sprint Network; when roaming you must dial using
eleven digits [1 + the area code + the seven-digit
phone number].)
Enter digits and then use this feature to
Hard Pause:
enter a hard pause within a number string (the
phone waits for your input). To continue dialing, you
must press the
key. (See "Dialing and Saving
Phone Numbers With Pauses" on page 27.)
