Getting started

  • Place the duck in the water or press any button.
  • The temperature appears on the display.
  • The device will turn off automatically after approx. 30 minutes.

Temperature alarm

  • Press and hold the ON/SET button for 2 seconds. 39°C (default) appears on the display and HOT flashes. You can choose the upper temperature limit (37°C, 38°C, 39°C or 40°C) with the + button.
  • Confirm the setting with the ON/SET button.
  • The lower temperature limit is factory set to 30°C.
  • If the water temperature rises above the set upper temperature limit, HOT appears on the display and the LED signal light flashes red.
  • If the water temperature drops below 30°C, COOL appears on the display and the LED signal light flashes green.
  • The LED signal light continues to flash until the measured temperature is within the alarm limits again.

Temperature unit setting

  • Press the °C/°F button and you can change between Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) as temperature unit.

Care and maintenance

  • Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
  • Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period of time.

Battery replacement

  • Change the batteries when the display becomes weak.
  • To open and close the battery compartment, the release button must be pressed down firmly with a pointed object.
  • Open the battery compartment by turning the lid to the left (in the arrow direction OPEN) using a coin and insert two new LR44 batteries (+pole above).
  • Close the battery compartment by turning the lid to the right (in the arrow direction CLOSE).
  • The lid is correctly closed when the release button is locked in place.
  • Note:
    The instrument must be switched off before changing the batteries.
  • Attention:
    Close the battery compartment carefully, so that no water can get in. Pay attention to the sealing ring.

Risk of injury:

  • Always check the water temperature with the back of your hand before putting a child into a bath.
  • The product is not a toy. Use under parental supervision.
  • Keep this device and the batteries out of reach of children.

  • Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead to serious internal burns and death within two hours. If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.
  • Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
  • Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking.
  • Never use a combination of old and new batteries together, nor batteries of different types.
  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes when handling leaking batteries. In case of contact, immediately rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor.
