Operation

How to charge and use as rechargeable unit

Charging the unit
Firmly insert the plug of the power cord unit into the Charging stand input jack
Connect the power cord unit to a power source.
Turn the On/Off switch of the main unit to "Off" and place it on the contact plug of the charging stand to begin recharging. Confirm that the charging status lamp is illuminated. (see fig. 2)
The charging status lamp will blink in approximately one hour to signify the batteries have completely recharged. Once this is confirmed, remove the main unit from the charging stand and turn the On/Off switch to "ON" for use. The batteries will last approximately 50 minutes. The recharge lamp indicates the power remaining in the batteries.
Recharge the batteries when it starts to blink. The unit can be used for approximately five minutes after the lamp begins to blink.

Using as a cord unit

Firmly insert the plug of the power cord unit into the DC input jack of the main unit.
Connect the power cord unit to a power source (see fig. 3).
Turn the On/Off switch of the main unit to "ON" for use.
In cases when the unit is having trouble to activate or the power is weak, turn the On/Off switch to "Off" and recharge for approximately one minute before use.

How to use the comb attachments

To use the comb attachments always set the dial to "1/32" (0.8 mm)".
Determine a desired trimming height and attach the relevant comb attachment.
Apply your thumb and remove each side of the comb attachment to disconnect (see fig. 5).

Blade care

Blade care instructions
Hold the handle of the hair clipper firmly with the "Panasonic" name facing upward and push the upper part of the blade away from the housing (see fig. 6).

Using the brush, clean the blade block and depress the cleaning hook to open the blade in order to remove hair which may be caught between the blades (see fig. 7). Lubricate the space between the stationary and moving blades with 2 or 3 drops of oil after every few uses.

To reassemble, first, set the dial to "5/64" (2.0 mm)", and reverse the above procedure, pushing the blade block until it clicks firmly into position (see fig. 8).
