2.3 Today Screen Components
The Today screen is usually the first screen that
appears when you turn on the device for the first
time each day. It displays a summary of relevant
information, shows you the system status and
contains a list of shortcuts to programs.
The items in the example screen are defined as
follows:
Date and time.

Wireless status.
Tap here to show quick reminders about how to do basic tasks.

Owner information.
Unread messages, including text messages, MMS messages, and e-mails.

Active tasks.

Upcoming appointments.

Tap here to sign in to Windows Live.

Tap here to use Live Search. This feature requires an internet connection.

Device lock status.
NOTE: You can also access the Today screen by selecting Today from the Start menu.
NOTE: To change the items shown in the Today screen, tap Start > Settings > Today > Items tab.
