How do I stop the filter from getting wet. My RYOBI wet and dry hard floor vacuum cleaner RHFC18X stops after a few minutes of trying to wash floors. Should I be turning the solution pump on to wash my floors? The manual is not very clear.

CLEANING THE DIRTY WATER TANK WARNING! Empty the dirty water tank once it’s over the max line. 1. Remove the battery by opening the battery cover and pressing the release buttons on the battery. 2. Press the release button and pull the dirty water tank forward to detach it from the unit.

CLEAN THE ROLLER BAR 1. Remove the battery by opening the battery cover and pressing the release buttons on the battery. 2. Press the two release buttons on the floor head together to remove the roller bar cover. 3. Lift up the release knob on the side of the floor head, and take out the roller bar.

USE THE SELF-CLEAN STAND 1. Please empty the dirty water tank once it is over the max line. 2. Insert a Ryobi ONE+ 18V battery onto the unit. 3. Dock the unit onto the self-clean stand. Use the foot switch on the stand to turn on the self-clean cycle, which lasts around 60 seconds.
