  • Page 9 Assemble the left and right rails to the rear rails as shown in igure 1. Do not fully tighten the screws yet. Ad ust each rail to fit the depth of your rack. Choose the appropriate position in the rack for the UPS (see igure 1). The rail assembly will occupy four positions on both the front and rear of the rack.
  • Page 10 Press the side of the cover with the LCD display while holding the opposite side. uickly e tract one side and then remove the other side with the display (see igure 4). A ribbon cable connects the LCD control cover to the UPS. Do not pull on this cable or disconnect it.
  • Page 11 Replace the front cover of the UPS. f you are installing power management software, connect your computer to one of the communication ports or the optional connectivity card. Use an appropriate cable for the communication ports. f your rack has conductors for grounding or bonding ungrounded metal parts, connect the ground cable (not supplied) to the ground bonding screw.

After this period, the batteries must be replaced. Contact your dealer for battery replacement recommendations. Be sure to deliver the spent battery to a recycling facility or ship it to your dealer in the replacement battery packing material.
