    The original OTC-201 uses BC549C NPN and BC307B PNP transistors in the vactrol section. The Convex board is designed for USA equivalents: 2N5088 or 2N3904 for NPN and 2N5087 or 2N3906 for PNP. They will perform identically in this circuit and are more commonly available worldwide.
