Most field service calls are avoidable. In many cases, a quick call to a Gatekeeper Customer
Experience Associate will solve the problem and save you money. If you have done everything you can
and you are still experiencing difficulties, please call Gatekeeper and ask to speak with Customer
Experience.

Solution

Test the CartKey on several
shopping trolleys by alternately
pressing and holding the "Lock"
and "Unlock" buttons on the
2
CartKey . Attempt to lock and
unlock wheels while holding the
CartKey at a variety of distances
ranging from 46 to 121cm away
from the Gatekeeper wheel.
If wheels lock at the perimeter
boundary and you are unable to
unlock them using the CartKey
may be necessary to replace the
batteries in the CartKey
9 of this manual for instructions on
how to replace the CartKey
batteries.
Attempt to lock and unlock a variety
of carts using the CartKey

that the CartKey battery is not low
or dead. Contact Gatekeeper
Customer Experience to have a

replacement CartKey shipped to
you.
