Using the Touch Screen

The touch screen shows all important information regarding camera settings as well as the visual image of your
image or video. It also provides all kinds of touch buttons to control the settings for the camera. The display on the
touch screen is called the On Screen Display or OSD.

Description
Indicates AF lamp is enabled. Please see page 40 for additional

Use to frame subject to capture.
Displays zoom type and level. Please see page 21 for additional
details.
Indicates the remaining shots available.
Indicates approximate battery level.
Indicates current storage media in use. Options are Internal
memory and SD/SDHC memory card.
Indicates that the camera is moving too much that may result in
image blur. Use of a tripod or steady hand may be required.
Tap to display the AF area/face tracking popup menu.
Tap to switch the display mode of the LCD monitor.
Indicates if the image stabilizer function is enabled. Please see
page 20 for additional details.
Displays photo resolution settings. Please see page 37 for
additional details.
Displays quality settings. Please see page 37 for additional details.
Displays sharpness settings. Please see page 41 for additional
