• Do not immerse the appliance in water or rinse under
dripping wet hair. When connected to the power supply,
never leave the appliance unattended or near children.
• Never use the appliance on wet hair.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended.
• Check the mains voltage according to the voltage specified
on the rating plate.
• Never leave the hot appliance near towels or other
textiles.
Never switch on the appliance when:
• The appliance or the power lead is damaged.
• The device has been dropped, shows visible damage or is
not functioning properly
• The appliance is damaged to such an extent that electrical
parts are exposed. Whenever this is the case, disconnect
immediately from the power supply and contact the place
of purchase.
Please note that the manufactures 12-month warranty cov-
ers parts failure only and does not cover accidental damage
or excessive wear or tear.
Unplug the appliance from the power supply when:
• A defect occurs during operation.
• You wish to clean the appliance.
• The appliance is turned off.
• The appliance is not being used.

until the plates have cooled down.
• When in use, the power cable should not be allowed to
come into contact with the heating plates or other hot
surfaces.
• Do not wind the power cable around the appliance, as this
can break the cable!
• When in operation only place the appliance on plain, heat
resistant surfaces.
• This appliance is designed for indoor use indoors. Do not
use outdoors e.g. in a garden or terrace etc.
• Make sure the appliance has completely cooled down
before storing it.
• Do not use the appliance near fire or flammable liquids
such as gasoline, linoleum etc.
Note
This appliance has been designed for commercial use. How-
ever, it can be used in either commercial or domestic envi-
ronments. Care should be taken to ensure that the user has
read and understand the safety instructions.

2. Preparing the appliance for use

1. Plug the appliance into the power socket.
2. Press the power button located on the panel inside the
styler.
3. Select the desired temperature by using the digital touch
panel. A light will indicate the selected temperature.
Always start off with a low temperature – if you find that
the amount of heat is not sufficient, turn it up gradually.
