Prepaid Terminal User Guide (VX570)
How To Make A Sale Using Your Terminal
Please refer to the laminate guide included with your welcome kit. This laminate guide will walk you through how to do a POSA
(point of sale activation) or barcode activation, QR code load activation and how to sell virtual PIN & RTR (real time recharge)
products.
How To Install Your Terminal
1. Your barcode scanner should already come plugged into
the terminal. If not, plug the scanner into port labelled #1 in
the diagram
2. Connect your ethernet cable into the 10BaseT connection
A. dial up connection is supported but not recommended.
3. Attach the power cable to the terminal and plug it into a
power source
4. The unit will power up and register to the network
NOTE: we do not utilize the RS232 Port (blocked). Do not
connect your terminal via this port.
Change From Demo To Live Mode
Note: Customer Service will call you with an initial Manager
password
1) Enter that Manager Password and press the Green Button
2) Select number 4 for Settings
3) Select number 3 for Mode, to change from Live to Demo,
and from Demo to Live
4) You must press the Red Cancel Button immediately
following your selection of Live or Demo
How To Change From Dial To IP
Mode
1) Enter your Manager Password
2) Press the Green Button
2) Select 7 for Communications
3) Select 1 for Connection, to change from MODEM to TCPIP

How To Add A Clerk Or Manager
1) Enter your Manager Password and press the Green Button
2) Select 3 for Passwords
3) Select 1 for Manager OR 2 for Clerk
4) Select 1 for Add Manager OR for Add Clerk
5) The terminal will assign you the first 2 digits of the Clerk or
Manager ID, you will then be prompted to enter in 3 numbers for
your password and press the Green Button
6) Validate the password by entering in the entire 5 digit
ID + password and press the Green Button
7) You will receive a success message
How To Change/Modify a Password
1) Enter your Manager Password and press the Green Button
2) Select 3 for Passwords
3) Select 1 for Manager OR 2 for Clerk
4) Select 2 for Modify Manager OR for Modify Clerk
5) Enter your old Clerk or Manager ID + Password, and press the
Green Button
6) The terminal will display the first 2 digits of the ID. Enter in the
last 3 digits of the password and press the Green Button
7) Re-enter in the Complete ID and Password and press the Green
Button
8) The terminal will display a success message
How To Delete An ID
1) Enter your Manager Password and press the Green Button
2) Select 3 for Passwords
3) Select 1 for Manager OR 2 for Clerk
4) Select 3 for Delete Manager OR for Delete Clerk
5) Enter your Clerk OR Manager ID and press the Green Button
6) The terminal will now delete the ID and display a message
"Clerk ID Deleted"
7) Press the Green Button
How Do I Perform A Product
Download?
Please watch for notices on your terminal as we are often
adding new product via Product Files. You will know when a new
Product File is ready as the terminal will prompt you to download
one once you've completed a transaction. This is the only way to
download new products.
