• This test is not always appropriate for testing whether a
circuit is not live (off). To determine whether the circuit
is not live, use both probes L1 and L2.
• Firmly grasp the insulated grips of the tester to increase
the sensitivity of this test.
Note: Standing on wooden steps, ladders, or insulated
floor coverings can impair single-pole voltage detection.
Unfavorable lighting conditions, such as direct sunlight,
or a non-operational, grounded AC system can also
impair detection.
