1.2 Functional Description The digital gyro compass Standard 22 NX provides speed error corrected true heading and rate of turn. A gyro compass heading is not affected by the earth magnetic field. The gyro compass generates an accurate directional reference signal to indicate the ship's heading relative to true north. -
