Charging the Watch
While wearing the watch, take care so your sleeve does not
block its face (solar panel) from light. Charging efficiency
may be reduced if the face (solar panel) is blocked from light,
even partially.
When you are not wearing the watch, leave it where its face
(solar panel) is exposed to bright light for charging.
To help ensure stable operation, expose the face of the
watch to about a half day of direct sunlight each month to
charge it.
Caution
The case of the watch may become extremely hot when charging. Guard against
burn injury.

state.
The watch will not enter a sleep state while it is in the Stopwatch Mode, or while
an elapsed time operation is in progress in the Timekeeping Mode or the World
Time Mode.
To recover from the sleep state
Move the watch to a well-lit area, perform a crown operation, or press any button.

User's Guide 5654
You can get an idea of the watch's power level by
observing the movement of the Second Hand.
If the Second Hand is moving normally at one-second
intervals, power is at Level 1.
If the Second Hand is moving at two-second intervals,
power is at Level 2, which is quite low (Low battery
alert). Expose the watch to light as soon as possible
so it can charge.

Important!
If the watch is not exposed to light for long periods, it will disable some functions
and eventually stop timekeeping.
For information about how long it takes to charge, refer to the Operation Guide
available at the CASIO website.
If timekeeping stops, you will need to expose the watch to light for a number of
hours before it will restart.
When power drops to Level 3, all settings (including timekeeping) will be cleared.
Recharging the battery will reset all settings to their initial factory defaults, so you
will need to configure settings again.
When the watch is at Level 3, exposing it to light for a while will cause the Second
Hand to move to the position of second 57. This indicates that charging has
started.
Power Saving
Power Saving enters a sleep state automatically whenever the watch is left for
a certain period in an area where it is dark. The table below shows how watch
functions are affected by Power Saving.
There actually are two sleep state levels: "second hand sleep" and "function sleep".
Elapsed Time in Dark
Operation
60 to 70 minutes (second hand sleep) Only the Second Hand will stop at its current
position.
All hands stopped at 12 o'clock.
6 or 7 days (function sleep)
Only day indication operates normally.
Configuring Current Time and Date Settings Automatically
Date and time settings are kept accurate using information provided by a time
calibration signal.
If you are in an area where a time calibration signal cannot be received, you need
to adjust time and date settings manually.
For information about the manual receive operation and time calibration signal
reception ranges, refer to the Operation Guide available at the CASIO website.
Important!
For the watch to be able to receive a time calibration signal, its Home City setting
must be one where time calibration signal reception is normally supported. For
details about the cities where calibration signal reception is supported, see the
"City Code Table" at the back of this manual.
