  • Page 11 BATTERIES WITH "UNDER VOLTAGE PROTECTION" Some Lithium* batteries have an on-board UVP (under voltage protection) that disconnects the battery to avoid it becoming too deeply discharged. This prohibits the charger from detecting that there’s a battery connected. To bypass this, the battery charger needs to open the UVP.

  • Page 37 BATERÍAS CON “PROTEC- CIÓN DE BAJA TENSIÓN” Algunas baterías de litio* tienen una protección de baja tensión (UVP, por sus siglas en inglés) integrada que desconecta la batería para evitar que se descargue en exceso. Esto impide que el cargador detecte que hay una batería conectada. Para sortear esto, el cargador de la batería debe abrir la UVP.

    **) La calidad de la tensión de carga y de la corriente de carga es muy importante. Una ondulación de corriente alta calienta la batería, lo cual acelera el envejecimiento del electrodo positivo.
