that neither the appliance nor the cable or plug comes into
contact with hot surfaces, e.g. a hotplate or a radiator.
7. After use, always place the mains cable in the cable storage
compartment in the base of the appliance after the appliance
has cooled down; never wrap the cable around the appliance.
8. Keep the appliance away from hot gas, hot ovens and other
heat-emitting appliances or heat sources. Never use the appli-
ance on a hot or wet surface. Never place the appliance near
moisture, heat and naked flames. Keep the appliance away
from moving parts or appliances.
9. Never carry the appliance by the power cord and do not place
anything on the power cord.
10. We recommend that you do not use an extension cable with
this appliance. Do not place the appliance directly underneath
a power socket.
11. Before you unplug the appliance from the mains, please
always check the appliance is not in operation.
12. In use, the appliance must always be on a flat, clean, stable,
dry surface such as a table or a work surface. The appliance
must not be close to the edge.
13. Do not use outdoors. Do not use in vehicles or on boats.
14. Never cover the appliance with cloths or the like while it is in
use.
15. Turn the appliance off, then unplug from the outlet when not
in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and before
cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet.
Never pull from the power cord.
16. We recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD
safety switch) to ensure additional protection during the use
of electrical appliances. It is advisable to use a safety switch
with a rated residual operating current of 30 mA maximum.
