Safety Rules IF THIS SYMBOL IS IN THIS MANUAL, YOUR SAFETY IS CONCERNED The installation of the protective guard and the use and observance of safety equipment and other safety rules are the responsibility of the user. Careful driving is the best guarantee to avoid accidents. Before you begin to use the machine, please read carefully this chapter.

    Before starting the machine, make sure that all persons are out of its reach and at such distance that they are visible to the operator of the machine. Only original spare parts of Timan A/S are permitted to be used. If strings, steel wires, wires, etc. entangle in a blade, interrupt your work immediately and remove the foreign objects before continuing to drive.

    The noise level to which the rotary mower operator is exposed depends on the type of the tool connected and on the fact whether the mower is with or without the cab. In case that the cab doors or windows are open or no cab is connected to the tool carrier, Timan recommends wearing hearing protectors.

    5. Explanations of the Safety Signs on the Machine When developing the rotary mower, every effort was made to ensure the protection of the operator against safety risks. Despite this fact the machine may pose a hazard in special situations. Warning signs are therefore placed on the machine to reduce the risk of damage.

    6. Operation of the Rotary Mower 6.1 Operation of the Tilting Mechanism The rotary mower has the tilting function. This function facilitates the sharpening/replacement of blades and cleaning. For safety reasons, always disconnect the hydraulics hoses on the tool carrier before tilting the mower. Important: Before attempting to start the tilting function, stop the tool carrier.

    6.3 Starting and Stopping the Rotary Mower The rotary mower can only be started in case that: The driver is sitting on the driver’s seat or the operator is at a safe distance from the machine. The machine’s driver has made sure that there are no animals and no persons in the immediate vicinity of the machine.

    Once a year - Check the hydraulic system for leakages. After every season Clean the rotary mower mechanically. Then apply a thin layer of oil to prevent corrosion. Store the mower in a place with low humidity and under a shelter to protect against rain and snow. 7.3 Sharpening the Blades Start with putting the mower to the service position using the tilting function.

    7.4 Lubrication - Grease lubrication; forced lubrication.  1 pc lubrication pin on each front wheel every 10 hours. Use high-quality greases only. Pump only once or twice per lubrication pin. If the mower is suspended from the remotely controlled tool carrier, the rotary pin connection must be lubricated every 20 hours.

    7.5 Tightening/Replacing a V-Belt New V-belts are tightened considerably during the first hours of operation and therefore it is important to tighten them after the first 2-3 hours. To tighten the right-hand and left-hand driving belt, follow the procedure below. 1.

    For the purpose of paying costs incurred in connection with complaints, a complaint record must be made and send to Timan not later than 14 days from the day when the damage was incurred. The claimed parts which are required by Timan a/s to be returned must be delivered not later than 8 working days after taking over the spare parts.
