If the expedition window (gull wing) or sliding window has not yet been installed in your car, we recommend that you pre-mount the Explore Overlander Light on the window, but remove it again to install the expedition window or sliding window in the car. After the window has been installed and the adhesive has dried sufficiently (after 48 hours), you can reattach the Explore Overlander Light to the window.

M5 x 20 socket head cap screw (1). This screw is covered with a plastic cover. The socket head is placed on the inside of the Explore Overlander. The screw is covered on the outside with a washer (2) and an M5 cap nut (3).

9. Now fix the position of the Overlander with masking tape and mark the position of the base plate (1) of the hinge on the Explore Glazing window with a pencil. Make sure that the base plate of the hinge is flush with the underside of the window frame.

14. Tap these holes with an M5 machine tap. Regularly lubricate drill and machine tap with oil. 15. Clean the window frame to prevent damage to the window frame. 16. Place the base plates (1) of the hinges onto the frame of the Explore Glazing window with the corresponding screws.

Install the Explore Glazing window in your car according the installation manual. After a waiting period of at least 48 hours, you can place the Explore Overlander back on the window by placing the stainless steel pins in the hinges again.
