Remote Device Management, or RDM, is a standard for allowing DMX-enabled devices to communicate bi-directionally along existing DMX cabling. Check the DMX controller’s User Manual or with the manufacturer as not all DMX controllers have this capability. The Ovation P-56UV supports RDM protocol that allows feedback to make changes to menu map options.
Setup Master/Slave Connectivity The Master/Slave mode allows a Ovation P-56UV (the master) to control one or more Ovation P-56UV products (the slaves) without a DMX controller. One Ovation P-56UV becomes the master when running an auto or custom program, or by being in a Static mode.
