  • Page 3: Removing The Z1 Table From Its Shipping Skid

The Z1 GERBERcutter is delivered in 5 containers (1 skid and 4 crates), see list below for information. The conveyor table comes pre-assembled and must be kept in an upright position at all times to avoid damage. The containers should be staged close to where the system will be located to ensure a smooth installation.
  • Page 4 Once the table is lifted high enough to clear the skid, back up to move the table away from the skid. You can use the fork lift to move the table to its permanent location. If the table can’t be moved to its permanent location using the fork lift, you can use two pallet jacks on each end of the table to lift and move the table into place, or place four moving dollies on the outside table legs to move it in position.
  • Page 5: Setting The Z1 Table Height

Setting the Z1 table height The Z1 table’s height can be adjusted from 31.3" to 38" (79.5cm to 96.5 cm), measuring from the table surface to the floor. This can make it easier to remove cut pieces from the table’s surface. To adjust the table height you will need a large adjustable wrench to loosen the large nut locking the height adjuster.
  • Page 6 To adjust the table feet you will need an adjustable wrench. Loosen the middle nut locking the foot, now tighten the bottom nut on the foot to lower the table or loosen the nut on the foot to raise the table. Repeat step 2 and step 3 at the 8 leveling points until the table is within specification.

Note: You may have to switch two phases going to the motor if the vacuum turbine doesn’t spin in the correct direction. Look for the directional arrow on the turbine. Wire the vacuum motor, using the pigtail connectors and insulator or boots, carefully pushing the wires into the motors connection box.
  • Page 12 Next snap the cable protection sections together and the end caps. The power, data, and tether cables will run through the section to protect them. From the Z1 table, run the Ethernet cable and power cable through the hole on the side of the workstation.
  • Page 13: Connecting The Power And Air

Connecting the power and air The two power cables (single phase & 3-phase) and air hose are run to the X1 corner take on end of the table. The single phase (220V) cable is fed through a cable clamp on the backside of the table and is wired to the S1 switch.
  • Page 14 Once the S1 switch and the CB2 circuit breaker have been wired, you will have to install the bracket holding the on/off switches. Last, you will need to run an air line over to the backside of the take on end of the table and connect to a quick disconnect on the air hose.
