Initial use Remove the kettle and the base plate out of the packaging and connect the base plate to a properly installed earthed socket. Wipe the surface of the kettle using a slightly dampened cloth.
- Page 11 If you place the kettle on the base plate, the LED display now shows the current ACTUAL temperature of the water in the kettle (display min. >= 0°C ). If the device is not used for 5 minutes, the display switches off automatically. The display can be reactivated by pressing any key, or by simply lifting and placing the kettle from the base.
