A person's vision in each eye is not exactly the same. It is recommended to first focus the left and right side of the binoculars separately.
Once both sides have been focused, the binoculars can be focused on any other object or scene by simply turning the center focusing wheel.
(1) Interpupillary Adjustment
First adjust the binocular barrels so that
each eye piece is properly adjusted to
the distance between your eyes.
This is done by holding the binoculars
in both hands up to your face and
bending it up/down until you can see a
single circular image through the
eyepieces.
HOW TO FOCUS BINOCULARS:
(2) Left Eye Adjustment
While looking through the eyepieces,
fixate on a non-moving object and
cover the right lens with your hand.
Look through the left eyepiece with
your left eye and turn the center focus
knob until your left eye is focused on
the object you're viewing.
(3) Right Eye Adjustment
Now cover the left lens with your hand
and look through the right eyepiece
with your right eye. While viewing
through the eyepiece, fixate on the
same object you viewed in the previous
step.
Turn the right adjustable eyepiece until
your view is in focus. Your binoculars
are now set to your eye's focus.
(4) Final Focusing
To make any final focus adjustments,
simply turn the center focus knob in
either direction while viewing through
both eyepieces until you are satisfied
with your view.
