Introduction
Power interruptions cause major problems for home and business
electrical and electronic appliance. An unpredictable power supply
®
such as high or low voltage, brown-outs, power-back surges, spikes/

surges, lightning strikes, and power-cuts (black-outs), can lead to
FLAT
loss of critical data, lowered productivity, damage, or even complete
failure of expensive appliance.

The Sollatek Automatic Voltage Switcher (AVS) range provides
GRADIENT
protection against bad voltage conditions to prevent loss in data,
productivity, or damage to your appliance.
Function
The AVS works by disconnecting the power to your appliance if the
mains voltage goes below or above the set limits. Reconnection takes
place automatically after the power has returned to normal (within
acceptable limits) and the user settable wait time has elapsed.
The start-up delay and voltage monitoring provide protection against
power-back surges and frequent power ups by ensuring the mains
power has stabilised before reconnecting it to your appliance.
TimeSave
Feature
™
TimeSave
function helps ensures longer operating time and
™
reducing unnecessary long start up delay by reconnecting the power
to your appliance after 10 seconds, when the power has been off for
a long period (more than 3 minutes).

Voltage Status Indicators:

*Assuming the appliance is turned ON with the power button on the AVS.
Load Switch & Indicator:
Power is connected. Appliance ON.
Power Button – Switch your appliance ON/OFF manually.
Power is disconnected – Appliance OFF.
*Appliance will only turn on if the voltage is good
Time Delay Dial:
Adjust the dial to set the start-up delay (after first connecting and
re-connecting power to your appliance) from 15 seconds to 3 minutes
(AVS13) or 1.5 minute to 5 minutes (AVS15 & AVS16).
When set to MANUAL, the AVS will not automatically connect power
to your appliance. Power is connected via the load switch.
Note: The Sollatek AVS has a TimeSave function. The AVS will
reconnect automatically in 10 seconds if the unit has been switched
off for more than the 3 minutes.
Tip: Use MANUAL, if you do not want appliance to automatically
re-start for example if you do not wish the Air-conditioner to
re-connect automatically after a power cut.
