If we want to inc r ease the degree o f discriminati on of larger irons, fla t sheets, rusty cans or ot her larger iron wast e, the “ DISC” le vel can be increased t o about 7 - 8 or even more. When detecting large or flat irons, mixing of the l ow -high sound signals may occur due to t he s hape and size of t hese iro n wa stes.

Using headp hones also increases t he detector's operatin g time because the battery disc harging is reduced. 11. “Smart Pulse” is equipped wit h a battery pack 7.4V/4000m Ah (2 batteries 3.7V/ 400 0m Ah). It needs no service other tha n charging when n eeded.

When during ope ration you start to hear a period ically repeating double interrupted s ound "beep-beep ", it me ans that the batt eri es must be char ged . They are usuall y fully charged in about 4 hours with the included c harger. If you charge the batterie s before t he low b attery beep sound s , the time to fu lly charge will depend on h ow low the batte ries are.
