    Maintenance After use, unplug the steamer and allow to cool completely, and empty all water. 1. NEVER USE ADDITIVES Use of distilled or de-mineralized water will reduce the need to clean your steamer and will prolong its life. However, ordinary tap water may be used as well. Use only water (preferably distilled or de-mineralized-although tap water is okay) in your steam’s water tank.
