CONTROL PANEL AND INSTRUMENTS WARNING LIGHTS AND MESSAGES LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL (red) The warning light turns on when the level of the brake fluid in the reservoir falls below the minimum level due to a possible leak in the circuit. This warning light also switches on when the handbrake is engaged.

Water in diesel filter (amber) The warning light switches on when there is water in the diesel filter. Car protection system fault – Fiat Code (amber) If, with the engine running, the warning lights flashes, it means that the car is not protected by the engine immobiliser device.

TRIP COMPUTER • The “Trip computer” is used to display information on car operation when the key is turned to MAR. This function comprises two separate trips, namely “Trip A” and “Trip B”. • Both functions can be reset (start of a new journey). •...
It is automatically activated when the ignition key is removed. • Each time the car is started by turning the ignition key to MAR, the Fiat CODE system control unit sends an acknowledgement code to the engine management control unit to deactivate the immobiliser.
SEATS FRONT SEATS Lengthwise adjustment: raise lever A and push the seat forwards and backwards: your hands should rest on the rim of the steering wheel. Backrest angle adjustment: turn knob B. Height adjustment: use lever C to raise or lower the rear part of the cushion to achieve a better, more comfortable driving position.
STEERING WHEEL • The steering wheel angle adjustment lever is located on the steering column under the direction indicator lever. • Bring the lever downwards to unlock the steering column. • Keeping one hand firmly on the steering wheel, adjust the steering column to the most suitable position.
AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL AUTOMATIC OPERATION • Press the AUTO button. • Select the desired temperature by pressing the temperature control buttons. • The system automatically maintains the set temperature. NOTE: Automatic climate control manages the Start&Stop function to guarantee a suitably comfortable climate in the passenger compartment by deactivating this function when necessary.
EXTERNAL LIGHTS DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS • With key in MAR position and ring nut turned to position O, the daytime running lights switch on automatically. DIPPED HEADLIGHTS/SIDE LIGHTS • With key in MAR position, turn the ring nut to . The warning light switches on on the instrument panel.
FOLLOW ME HOME This function allows the space surrounding the car to be lit up for a certain period of time. • With the ignition key in the STOP position or extracted, pull the lever towards the steering wheel and operate it within 2 minutes of the engine switching off.
ROOF FIXED GLASS ROOF • The wide glass roof comprises a transparent panel with manually operated sun blind. The blind can be used in the “fully closed” or “fully open” positions (there are no fixed intermediate positions). • To open the blind: grip the handle and press the catch A, then release the blind and bring it to the “fully open”...

DUALDRIVE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING • With the key in MAR position, press the Dualdrive button to activate the CITY function. The CITY warning light switches on in the instrument panel. • With the CITY function on, the effort required at the steering wheel is lighter, thereby facilitating parking manoeuvres.
PARKING SENSORS • These detect and inform the driver, through an intermittent acoustic signal, about the presence of obstacles behind the car when REVERSE is engaged. As the obstacle behind the vehicle gets closer to the car, the acoustic signal becomes more frequent.
MANUAL ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION • The Start&Stop system can be activated/ deactivated using the buttonA on the dashboard. SEAT BELTS AND PRETENSIONERS SEAT BELTS Using the seat belts • The belt should be worn keeping the torso straight and rested against the backrest. • To fasten the seat belts, hold the tongue A and insert it into the buckle B, until it clicks into position.

Important general information for using the seat belts • Always fasten the seat belts before setting off. • Seat belts must also be worn by pregnant women: the risk of injury in the event of an accident is greatly reduced for them and the unborn child if they are wearing a seat belt.
22-36 kg of weight • Over 1.50 m in height, from the point of view of restraint systems, children are considered as adults and wear the seat belts normally. Lineaccessori Fiat offers child restraint systems for each weight group. • These devices are recommended, since they are specifically designed and tested for Fiat cars.

Group 2 • Children from 15 to 25 kg may use the car seat belts directly. Group 3 • For children from 22 to 36 kg the size of the child’s chest means that a support to space the child’s back from the backrest is no longer required.

FRONT AIRBAGS • The front airbags (driver, passenger, driver knee bag) protect the occupants of the front seats in the event of moderate to high severity front impacts by positioning the cushion between the occupant and the steering wheel or the dashboard.

The expiry date of the explosive charge and the clock spring are shown on a specific label on the edge of the door. Contact a Fiat Dealership to have them replaced when the expiry date approaches.
USING THE MANUAL GEARBOX • To engage the gears, press the clutch pedal fully and shift the gear lever into the required position. • Reverse can only be engaged when the car is completely stationary. With the engine running, wait for at least 2 seconds with the clutch pedal fully pressed before engaging reverse, to prevent damage to the gears and grating.

STEERING WHEEL LEVERS (for versions/markets, where provided) • The gearbox can be managed sequentially using the steering wheel controls. • To use the steering wheel controls, the gear lever must be in the middle position between + and –. • Move the steering wheel lever towards + to engage a higher gear.
• When the engine has been started, remove the leads reversing the order above. If after a few attempts the engine does not start, do not persist but contact a Fiat Dealership. IMPORTANT: do not directly connect the negative terminals of the two batteries: any sparks may ignite the explosive gas which could come out of the battery.
BUMP STARTING • Never bump start the engine by pushing, towing or driving downhill. • This could cause a flow of fuel into the catalytic converter and damage it beyond repair. IMPORTANT: the brake servo and electric power steering (where provided) are not operational until the engine is started;...
REPLACING A WHEEL INSTRUCTIONS FOR RAISING WITH A JACK AND REPLACING A WHEEL To change a wheel proceed as follows: • Stop the car in a position that is not dangerous for oncoming traffic where you can change the wheel safely. The ground must be flat and sufficiently compact.

• Warn anybody who is nearby that the car is about to be raised. They should stay clear and they should be warned not to touch the car until it is back on the ground. • Fit the handle to operate the jack device and raise the car until the wheel is a few centimetres above the ground.
