    900 Series Belt Cutter/Skiver WARNING Use caution when handling belt cutter blades. Prior to any work on conveyors and the belt, be sure the power has been turned off and both are “locked out. ” Follow other safety precautions outlined in the operator’s manual.

    900 Series Belt Cutter/Skiver Cutter Operation Install the drive handle on cutter drive shaft. Move blade to the end of the cutter if needed. Ensure blade is fully enclosed in the upright. Remove Top Clamp Bar. Push down the clamp release lever on locking Pull top clamp bar up and then slide out of the fixed side upright.

NOTE: If clamp release lever won’t lock in place, release pressure by turning both belt clamp knobs counterclockwise until the clamp release lever is locked.

  • Page 10 900 Series Belt Cutter/Skiver Skiver Operation While keeping hands away from the exposed skiver blade, insert the skiver square gibb into the skiver frame rails. Push to engage the skiver gears in the gear track. Make sure the skiver moves freely.
  • Page 11 Best Practice: Skive approximately 1/8" (3mm) for most fasteners to countersink them flush with the belt top cover, making sure not to skive into the carcass. If needed, reference the Skive Depth Guage Chart. For sticky/gummy belt covers, use Flexco Silicone Lubricant on the top cover to minimize resistance between the top cover and the skiver pressure plate.
