14. Disconnect the tool – Disconnect the tiller from the power supply when it is not in use, before servicing it, when changing accessories, and when performing any other maintenance task. 15. Store idle tool indoors – When not in use, the tiller should be stored indoors in a dry and high or locked-up place out of the reach of children.

5140-009 ELECTRIC TILLER 13.5A Preparation • Always inspect the area where the tiller is to be used. Remove all objects (i.e. stones, sticks, wires, and other foreign materials) that could be thrown by the blades or cause the operator to trip.

• Do not grasp the exposed cutting blades or cutting edges when picking up or holding the appliance. Stopping Work • Always turn the tiller OFF and disconnect the electrical power when stopping work or when changing work areas. Never leave the machine running when unattended.

Unpacking Carefully remove the tiller from its packaging and check that the following parts are included: Handle grip M6X45 bolt (4 pcs) Upper handle Knob (4 pcs) Middle handle Lower handle Power cable terminal Wheel (2 pcs) Main unit Wheel cover (2 pcs) Tine assembly Carefully remove the electric tiller and check to see that all of the above items are supplied.

CONNECTING THE HANDLES 1. Connect the middle handle and the lower handle, tighten them with knob and bolt. Same operation on the other hand. 2. Connect the upper handle and the middle handle, tighten them with knob and bolt. Same operation on the other hand. 3.

TRANSPORT Always pull out the power cord before transporting! Pull the lock pin. You can now move the wheels to the lower position. Make sure that the lock pin engages again in the lower position. Lock pin ATTENTION! The wheels must be fixed in the upper position during operation! For storage or transport in a limited space, proceed as follows: Loosen the knobs until you can fold the handles forward.

Start by moving the tiller up and down in vertical lines, then work horizontally from left to right. This will keep the rows even and ensure that all the ground is tilled without missing any spots.

CLEANING Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
