- Page 4 Intended Use The ROHO MOSAIC Cushion (MOSAIC) is an adjustable, air–filled, segmented–design support surface that is intended to conform to an individual’s seated shape to provide skin/soft tissue protection. There is a weight limit of 315 lbs. (143 kg), and the cushion must be used with an appropriate cover and be properly sized to the individual.
- Page 5 ROHO MOSAIC Cushion Operation Manual Important Safety Information, continued Warnings – Motor Vehicle Transportation: - Failure to pay attention to these warnings could result in severe injury to the individual in the wheelchair or to others. - Whenever possible, transfer out of the wheelchair and into a manufacturer–installed vehicle seat without the cushion, and use the vehicle’s crash–tested occupant restraint system.
- Page 6 ROHO MOSAIC Cushion Operation Manual Cushion Setup Warnings: - DO NOT use a product that is underinflated or overinflated, because 1) the product benefits will be reduced or eliminated, resulting in an increased risk to skin and other soft tissue, and 2) the individual may become unstable and vulnerable to falling. Carefully follow the instructions for inflation, placement and hand check.
- Page 7 ROHO MOSAIC Cushion Operation Manual Cleaning and Disinfecting Cover Care: For cover care instructions, refer to the manual provided with the cover. Warnings: - Cleaning and disinfecting are separate processes. Cleaning must precede disinfection. If the product becomes soiled, or between use by different individuals: clean, disinfect, and check the product for proper functioning.
- Page 8 ROHO MOSAIC Cushion Operation Manual Troubleshooting For additional assistance, contact the equipment provider, distributor, or Customer Support. The cushion is not holding air. Inflate the cushion. Inspect the inflation valve assembly for damage. Confirm that the inflation valve is completely closed. Look for holes in the cushion. If very small holes or no holes are visible, follow the instructions in the Repair Kit provided with the product.
