  • Page 11 INDEX USER MANUAL – XSI-B-120V-1K-3K Battery Connections It is recommended to install a Circuit Breaker that can open the battery circuit for connection and disconnection to the inverter and for maintenance tasks. Make sure to install a Circuit Breaker device (fuse or breaker) on the positive battery cable. Size the breaker devices according to the maximum expected current for each inverter model.
  • Page 12 INDEX USER MANUAL – XSI-B-120V-1K-3K BATTERY BANK ARRAY 1K model operates with a 12VDC battery voltage. 2K and 3K models operate with a 24VDC battery voltage (2 x 12V batteries in series). For extended backup, additional batteries can be added in parallel as shown in the figure in this section. The more batteries connected to the inverter, the longer the backup time will be, but the battery recharge time will also increase.

  • Page 35 INDEX USER MANUAL – XSI-B-120V-1K-3K RECHARGE TABLES IMPORTANT: The value of the recharge current from the AC and Solar charger is adjustable. It is recommended that the total recharge current (AC + Solar) never exceed 20% of the AH capacity of the battery bank (0.2C). For example, for a 100AH battery bank, a maximum total recharge current of 20A is recommended (100AH * 0.2).
  • Page 36 INDEX USER MANUAL – XSI-B-120V-1K-3K ANNEX 3. BATTERY CHARGER XMART XSI-B-120V inverters come with 2 powerful internal battery chargers. First one is connected to the AC input, while second one is connected to solar input. Both can recharge batteries either simultaneously or separately, depending on the configuration of the inverter. CHARGERS SETTINGS: Chargers used by this inverter are of modern technology and can be configured to limit maximum recharge current according to the capacity of the battery bank connected to the inverter.

These cables are exposed when removing the cover as explained in the previous step.
  • Page 39 INDEX USER MANUAL – XSI-B-120V-1K-3K It should be noted that the cables connecting the busbar to the batteries must withstand a current “X” time higher than the one going from the busbar to each inverter, where "X" is the number of inverters connected in parallel. Previous principles should also be applied to the AC input and AC output cables.
