Changing your Class of

Norstar uses dialing
filters,
setup
by
the
system
coordinator,
to
restrict the numbers you can
dial
on a line or
from
a
telephone.
When
you enter your
Class
of
Service (COS)
password at
a
telephone,
the
dialing filters
associated
with your Class
of
Service
password
apply,
rather than the
normal dialing
filters.
To
change
the dialing
filters
on
a
line
or telephone:
1.
Press

2.
Enter
your six-digit COS password.

Enter your
password.
It
will
not
be shown on the
display.
You have entered a password that
is
not
programmed into
your system.
If
you use your
Norstar system
from
outside
the
office,
you may have
to enter a Class
of
Service
password to
gain
access to
the system.

You
must
enter
a Class of Service password each time you
wish
to
make a
call
that
is
normally restricted on a
line
or
telephone.
Norstar allows
up to
100 Class of Service
passwords.
The system
coordinator
defines
Class
of
Service passwords
and
dialing
filters in Administration
programming.
