    Before you start Congratulations on the purchase of your new Kobold device. • Read the instruction manual carefully before using the device for the first time. Storing of product documentation • Retain this instruction manual for future reference. It is an important part of the appliance and must be kept with it if you pass it on to someone else.

    Cleaning cloths Before use Test the surface suitability of both cleaning cloths in an inconspicuous area before use. Overview of cleaning cloths There are two types of cleaning cloth: Kobold MF100 microfibre cloth The microfibre cloth is suitable for windows, mirrors, shower screens and wall tiles.     Charging the batteries The batteries have to be fully charged prior to first use. This process takes about six hours. 1. Connect the mains charger to the power supply. 2. Note the prescribed voltage of 220 V - 240 V. 3.

    Inserting the water tank After filling the fresh water tank with cleaning solution (Kobold cleaning agent and fresh water) or after emptying the dirty water tank, you will need to insert the tank into the surface cleaner again. With the tank filled, you must first attach the cleaning cloth, as the tank will empty after being inserted.

    Cleaning surfaces 8.6.1 Cleaning windows and glass surfaces WARNING Risk of injury if the surface cleaner is dropped! If the device is dropped, it can cause serious injury. • Ensure that the surface cleaner is not dropped during cleaning, endangering you and others.

    6. Applying slight pressure, slowly guide the surface cleaner in straight lines all the way down to the bottom edge of the window (2). Please note: you must guide the rubber blade all the way down to the bottom of the glass pane and then pull it away from the window with a slight tilting motion (3).

    Emptying the dirty water tank The dirty water tank must be emptied when the maximum fill level is reached. Empty the dirty water tank every time the tank is removed. 1. Remove the tank as described in the section Filling the fresh water tank [} 18].
