Repair Overview This chapter describes disassembly and assembly (Assemble document please look up from the last page), please follow the information provided in this section to perform the complete disassembly procedure. Precautions: Before you perform any service or repair on the notebook, please pay special attention to the cautions prevent any damages to the notebook. 1.
Appropriate Tools Please prepare and select the appropriate tools to disassemble/assemble for the ASUS TUF Dash F15 (FX516P) series notebook. Screwdriver Alcohol 95% Glove Dust-free Cloth Please accord to different screw specification to choose different screwdriver and head. Plastic Blade NB LCD MYLAR *6pcs Use it to align panel position.
BOTTOM CASE Disassembly Notice Step 1 : Remove screws *14pcs. Step 2 : Use plastic blade to pry the bottom case. BOTTOM CASE Assembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Please follow the instruction to assemble the corresponding parts on the Bottom case. Please follow the yellow alignment mark and paste GASKET*2pcs in the red box. Paste CABLE FIX TAPE*1 pcs to prevent the GASKET fall off.
BATTERY Disassembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Before disassembly battery connector, please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery more than ten seconds in order to IC damage. Step 1 : Disconnect the battery connector. Screws Spec Torque(kgf-cm)
Disassembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Step 1 : Remove the screws *1pcs. Step 2 : Remove SSD at right side. Assembly Notice Step 3 : Remove ABSORBER on SSD. Please make sure to paste ABSORBER before Screws Spec Torque (kgf-cm)
Disassembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Step 1 : Tear off the SODIMM ABSORBER MYLAR. Assembly Notice Step 2 : Unlock DDR. Step 3 : Remove DDR. Please make sure to paste FX516PM SODIMM ABSORBER MYLAR* 1 pcs on the front side of DDR, before assembling the DDR.
WIFI CARD Disassembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Step 1: Tear off the RF cable tape. Step 2: Disconnect the RF CABLE connector *2pcs. Step 3 : Remove the screw *1pcs. Step 4 : Remove WIFI CARD. Screws Spec Torque (kgf-cm)

SPEAKER(with THERMALMODULE and MAINBOARD) Disassembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Step 1 : Disconnect (yellow mark) connector *6pcs. Screws Spec Torque (kgf-cm) Step 2: Lift the tape of both sides on the Thermal module and take out cables. SCREW M2*6L(4.6,0.8)(K)B-ZN,NY Step 3 : Remove screws *11pcs.
SPEAKER Assembly Notice Assembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Please follow the instruction to assemble the SPEAKER. Please paste SPEAKER SPONGE*1 pcs on the left Speaker as illustrated. Please follow the mark below to tidy cable.

THERMAL MODULE & FAN Disassembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Torque Step 1 : Please follow the reverse screws numbers to remove screws *8pcs. LCD BEZEL Disassembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Step 1 : Remove LCD BEZEL. Step 1-5, Due to some tapes behind the lower edge of bezel, please using plastic blade to teardown the bezel. Please follow the direction shown in the red arrow, to move plastic blade from left to right and peel the bezel away slowly.
LCD COVER Disassembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. Step 1 : Release TAPE and remove EDP cable. Assembly Notice Step 2 : Lift up MIC FPC EMI FABRIC, then disconnect and remove the MIC FPC. When replace a new LCD Cover: If the LCD is the following green model, please be sure to paste LCD COVER SPONGE C*2pcs on LCD ADHESIVE, and paste LCD COVER SPONGE A_A*3pcs on LCD COVER.

LCD PANEL and LCD Cover Assembly Notice Please be sure to pull out adapter and disconnect the battery. When reuse the LCD PANEL: Please follow the green mark to tidy EDP cable and MIC FPC EMI FABRIC.
