Disassembly Procedure
Please follow the information provided in this section to perform the complete disassembly procedure of
the Notebook. Be sure to use proper tools described before.
A
SUS E510MA Series notebook consists of various modules. This chapter describes the
procedure for the complete notebook disassembly and assembly (Assemble document
please look up from the last page). In addition, in between procedures, the detailed
disassembly procedure of individual modules will be provided for your service needs.
The disassembly procedure consists of the following steps:

    Disassembly Procedure Service Overview Pre-repair checklist Precautions Before you perform any service or repair on the notebook, please follow the steps below first. 1. Be sure that the notebook is powered down. 2. Before disassembling any part, please disconnect all power source. ex: AC plug/Battery connector/Power protect screw etc.
  • Page 4 Disassembly Procedure 4. Always wear a ground strap on your hand to protect the notebook from static discharge. 5. Please refer to “ANSI ESD S20.20” about ESD protection measure. 6. Put disassemble the parts in the functional PE BAG for avoid any damages of the A/B/C/D part.

  • Page 6 Disassembly Procedure Appropriate Tools The illustrations below show the appropriate tools that should be used for the notebook’s service and repair. ➢ Cross Screwdriver Please accord to different screw specification to choose different screwdriver and head. Below photos are for reference only. Use a cross screwdriver to fasten/remove screws.

    Disassembly Procedure Battery Module The illustrations below show how to remove the Battery Module. Disconnect the battery connector. Follow below numbers to remove 4 screws on the battery module. Assembly Notice: Follow the reverse numbers to lock screws. Screw tightening torque (Kg F-cm): 2.0KG±0.2kgf . 3.

  • Page 13 Disassembly Procedure IO Board The illustrations below show how to remove the IO Board. Disconnect the IO FFC remove 5 screws. Assembly Notice: follow the reverse numbers to lock screws. Screw tightening torque: 2.5KG±0.2kgf Screw tightening torque: 2.0KG±0.2kgf Rotate the hinge and take out the IO Board. Disconnect the IO FFC.

    Disassembly Procedure WLAN Module The illustrations below show how to remove the WLAN Module. Remove the antenna connectors. Remove 1 screw and take out the WLAN. Screw tightening torque: 2.0KG±0.2kgf M2*2.5L Take out the AUX Antenna. Please arrange the antenna well when you assemble it.

    Disassembly Procedure Speaker Module The illustrations below show how to remove the Speaker Module. 1. Disconnect the TP FFC FP FFC. Assembly notice: Insert FFC to the bottom until just accord with the line when lock the latch. 2. Tear up the TP GASKET CABLE ACETONE TYPE.

  • Page 27 Disassembly Procedure LCD Module for Plastic SKU The illustrations below show how to remove the LCD Module. 1. Remove 2 screw mylars. 2. Remove 2 screws on the Bezel. Screw tightening torque: 2.5KG±0.2kgf SCREW M2.5*3.5L 3. Use plastic blade to pry up the edge , take the LCD front bezel out .
  • Page 28 Disassembly Procedure Assembly Notice: Because of the LCD Bracket issue, there is a question which is “Large Gap Between LCD Cover and Bezel” after you assemble the LCD Bezel. Please follow below steps to assemble LCD Bezel: Press the stress points of red arrows on the bezel edge to assemble the bezel.
  • Page 29 Disassembly Procedure to confirm the “Gap Between LCD Cover and Bezel”. If the gap is Rotate the LCD Panel large, please repeat the step 1 to narrow the gap. If you find the hook of Bezel damage, please change new one. 4.
  • Page 30 Disassembly Procedure SCREW M2.5*3L Notice: If you need to replace hinges, please make sure hinge R and hinge L are the same vendor. Disconnect and arrange the EDP Cable MAIN Antenna. Please arrange the cable well when you assemble them.
  • Page 31 Disassembly Procedure 6. Remove 2 screws on the bracket. Assembly Notice: follow the reverse numbers to lock screws. Screw tightening torque (Kg F-cm): 2.0KG±0.2kgf. SCREW M2*2.5L 7. Pry out the LCD Bracket and rotate the LCD carefully. 8. Disconnect the EDP Cable and take out the LCD Bracket carefully.

Screw tightening torque: 2.5KG±0.2kgf SCREW M2.5*3.5L 3. Use plastic blade to pry up the edge , take the LCD front bezel out .

Screw tightening torque (Kg F-cm): 2.5KG±0.2kgf. SCREW M2.5*3L Notice: If you need to replace hinges, please make sure hinge R and hinge L are the same vendor .
