  • Page 10: Bob Operation

SYCON BOB in detail BOB operation BOB stands for operation without supervision. The SYCON BOB is specially certified for use in boiler houses. This ensures unattended operation of the analyser for 72 hours. The monitoring of the reagent level reports a sufficient amount of reagent for 72 hours.
  • Page 11: Access Protection

The access code is preset at the factory to the numerical sequence 2802. An own access code can be created on the SD card of the SYCON BOB. To do this, the desired four-digit number sequence is stored in a file access.txt on the internal SD card.
  • Page 12: Differences To The Other Sycon Models

Differences to the other SYCON models To exclude additional consumption of reagent, external analysis starts via the input contact are not possible. Therefore, the SYCON BOB does not have the input function analysis start and the input of a quantity interval is also not possible.
  • Page 13: Operating Principle

SYCON BOB in detail Operating principle The SYCON BOB based on the SYCON series is an online analyser for the automatic determination of water parameters according to the colorimetric titration method. By adding an reagent to the water sample, a colour reaction is generated. Depending on the reagent used, the device evaluates the intensity of the colour.
  • Page 14: Technical Data

The limit value is defined by the reagent used and the parameterisation. In the SYCON BOB, the use of the reagents H25-0.05 and H25 - 0.1 is possible. These reagents cover the valid limit values for soft water in the steam boiler area.
