BG52 Multi-Function Infrared Thermometer
This instrument is a non-contact infrared thermometer with
thermocouple socket.
Please remember to keep away from children.
Operating Manual
On/Off Button
To switch on the infrared thermometer, press the "Meas" key. The thermometer will automatically shut off if left idle for more than
60 secs unless in PROBE mode. (In probe mode, it will shut off if left idle for more than 12 mins).
Change Temperature Unit
Press the down arrow button (▼), to change the temperature unit. (°C / °F)
Lock Function
Press ▲ button for to on/off LOCK function.
Change Mode
Press the Mode button for more display function as follow:
Thermal Bridge Detection
Press the Mode button and "
" will appear on the display.

To measure THB
a) IRT (infrared temperature) – Tamb (temperature ambient) >6.5°C
color and "Hi" is beside the THB mode icon.

The emissivity can be changed from 0.10 (10E) to 1 (100E).
MAX, MIN, DIF, AVG

The LCD display will show

color when the reading is close to max value and shows
value. While the temperature reading is in between the max and min value, the LCD display will be showing

Probe Measurement
1.
Connect the thermocouple with thermocouple socket and put the probe in/on the targeted area, the thermometer will
display the temperature automatically without pressing any button. To see the max or min reading during the probe
measurement, please hold down the ▲or ▼button.
The probe may remain hot after high temperature measurement.
Humidity / Dry Bulb / Wet Bulb
Press the Mode button and "

Then press ▲ for DBT (dry bulb temp) and ▲ button for WBT (wet bulb temp) modes. During the measurement,

Dew Point Temperature
1.
Press the Mode button for DPT (dew point temperature) modes. During the measurement, special icon will
displayed on the LCD indicate as below:

1.1°C < IRT - DPT ≤ 1.9°C : Bar shows

-0.5°C < IRT - DPT ≤ 1.1°C : Bar shows

Note: In (b), (c) and (d) reading, the icon indicate
condensation as well as mold warning. The buzzer and the optional vibration functions are activated at the same
time.
Memory Function
1.
After taking the measurement, press Mode button for the memory function,
Then press "Meas" key to save the measurement.

Under the memory mode, press ▲ button or ▼ button to display the record up to 50 sets.

To clear the records, press and hold ▲ and ▼ button at the same time.
4.
Note: The memory function only able to capture and store the infrared temperature reading.
CAUTION
1. When the instrument is in use, do not look directly into the laser-beam as will cause permanent eye
damage.
2. Never point the instruments with laser on/off towards the eyes.
3. After measuring a high temperature, the probe may remain HOT for a while.
4. DO NOT submerge any part of the thermometer.

MAINTENANCE
Please store the instrument at room temperature. The sensor lens is the most dedicate part of the thermometer.
The lens should be kept clean at all times, care should be taken when cleaning the lens using a soft cloth or
cotton swab with water or medical alcohol and allowing the lens to fully dry before using the thermometer.
