    ... indicates a hazard to property. TARGET GROUP This manual is intended for those who own a Tout Terrain e-bike. If you plan to carry out maintenance work on your e-bike by yourself, it is essential to have expert knowledge of bicycle mechanics.

    Any installation of additional accessories requires prior consultation with Tout Terrain. The maximum system weight, as specified in section 1.7 "Maximum System Weight" on page 7, must not be exceeded even if attachments and accessories are fitted.

If you replace components, their maximum system weight must not be less than that of the e-bike. When using trailers or pannier racks and when carrying children, the maximum system weight of the e-bike also applies.

    STRAIGHTENING THE HANDLEBARS AND ADJUSTING THE HEADSET PLAY CAUTION The screw for adjusting the headset play (1) is not used to tighten the stem, only to adjust the bearing play! 1. Loosen the clamping screws (2) of the stem with an Allen key. Do not loosen the screw for adjusting the headset play (1).

    ATTACHING THE PEDALS One of the pedals has a right-hand thread and the other a left-hand thread. Most pedals are marked with "L" and "R" on the pedal body and/or on the pedal axle on the inside of the hexagon. You can find further details in the manufacturer's operating instructions. 1.

    BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL 5.7.1 NEODRIVES V8 To remove the battery from a CAMDEN or SKANE, turn the key (1) until the lock opens. Then flip the latch on the battery (2) and remove the battery upwards (3) from the down tube. CAUTION: It's best to use two hands when you remove the battery to prevent it from falling.
  • Page 22 5.7.2 FIT TP 700 To remove the battery from an APPIA or PAMIR, first press the latch on the battery holder upwards (1). This will be easier if you apply a little pressure to the battery (2) with your other hand at the same time.
  • Page 23 Now remove the battery upwards (5) from the down tube. Straighten the handlebars so you have enough space to the fork to remove the battery. CAUTION: It’s best to use two hands to avoid dropping the battery. When you insert the battery, make sure it's correctly positioned on the lower bracket and that the contacts are not damaged.

    ELECTRIC DRIVE Our e-bikes have different drive systems from various manufacturers. You can find all safety- relevant information in the applicable chapters of this manual. For further information on handling the battery, drive and operating elements, please refer to the operating instructions of the respective manufacturer.

    WHAT TO DO BEFORE AND AFTER THE RIDE BEFORE THE RIDE To make sure that your e-bike is safe to use, you must check the condition of the bike and its components before riding it. If there are any defects or malfunctions, the e-bike must be checked by a specialist dealer who will repair it.
  • Page 26 COMPONENTS BRAKES Check the braking effect: When stationary, pull both brake levers one after the other and move the e-bike forwards and backwards. The front and rear wheel must lock when you pull the brake. • Check the degree of brake pad wear. The brake pad on the metal carrier must be at least 1 mm thick.

    COMPONENTS FRAME Check the frame for damage and deformations. There shouldn’t be any damage. • Check the fastening of all cables and lines in the cable clamps. All lines must be firmly secured in the tension clamps. • SPRING ELEMENTS Check spring elements (if applicable) for damage and anomalies such as oil leaks.

Parts with a limited service life will last longer with regular care and cleaning, but will still show signs of wear after a certain time, like cracks and discoloration. Make sure to inspect your bike every time you clean it.

    STORING THE BATTERY We recommend not to leave the battery on the bike during storage. The battery has to be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place. Protect the battery from moisture and water. In unfavorable weather conditions, it's recommended to remove the battery from the bike and store it indoors until the next use.
