1. Getting Started

1.1 Introduction
Experience the most convenient and simplest way to watch TV without a subscription
fee or cable line! TVGo DVB-D01 also supports HDTV (High Definition TV), which
provides you very high TV image quality. With a terrestrial antenna, you can receive
free-to-air digital terrestrial TV / Analog TV and listen to free-to-air digital terrestrial
radio anywhere at anytime. With the TVGO DVB-D01, you can record and save TV
programs directly to your PC's hard disk in original MPEG-2 format and you can even
hook it up to your home video entertainment system with the additional AV and
s-video input. The EPG (Electronic Program Guide) and teletext provides you more
information on TV programs. It also includes great features like schedule recording,
real-time recording, time-shifting, still image capture, auto channel scan and channel
preview.

    2.1 TVGo DVB-D01 Connections Audio In: Connects external audio to unit using supplied cable. TV In: Connects to provided NTSC or PAL adaptor to connect to TV source. (DVB-T or analog) S-Video In: Connects to S-Video sources, or composite video sources using provided adaptor.

    If the Autostart program does not appear automatically when you insert the Genius Installation CD, start it manually by running the InstallCD.exe file located on the Genius Installation CD, or by clicking the Start button, choosing Run…, and typing in D:\InstallCD.exe. (if D: is your CD-ROM drive) Click on DirectX and follow the prompts to install DirectX.

    Before you can watch digital TV, you have to scan for available channels in your area. On the Menu Bar, click on Tool, and then click on Scan. You can also click on the Scan button on the left side of the screen.

    Q: I can hear TV audio, but I can’t see any video. Make sure you have connected the unit to a USB 2.0 port, and not a USB 1.1 port – the bandwidth of USB 1.1 is not enough for the TV stream to be displayed properly.
