1. Getting Started
1.1 Introduction
Experience the most convenient and simplest way to watch TV without a subscription
fee or cable line! TVGo DVB-D01 also supports HDTV (High Definition TV), which
provides you very high TV image quality. With a terrestrial antenna, you can receive
free-to-air digital terrestrial TV / Analog TV and listen to free-to-air digital terrestrial
radio anywhere at anytime. With the TVGO DVB-D01, you can record and save TV
programs directly to your PC's hard disk in original MPEG-2 format and you can even
hook it up to your home video entertainment system with the additional AV and
s-video input. The EPG (Electronic Program Guide) and teletext provides you more
information on TV programs. It also includes great features like schedule recording,
real-time recording, time-shifting, still image capture, auto channel scan and channel
preview.

2.1 TVGo DVB-D01 Connections Audio In: Connects external audio to unit using supplied cable. TV In: Connects to provided NTSC or PAL adaptor to connect to TV source. (DVB-T or analog) S-Video In: Connects to S-Video sources, or composite video sources using provided adaptor. - Page 5 Mini USB cable: Connects TVGo DVB-D01 to your PC's USB2.0 port (make sure that this is connected before you install or launch the application). * Plug in the primary USB connector to the computer; plug in the secondary USB connector only if your PC/Notebook does not fully power the TVGo DVB-D01.

If the Autostart program does not appear automatically when you insert the Genius Installation CD, start it manually by running the InstallCD.exe file located on the Genius Installation CD, or by clicking the Start button, choosing Run…, and typing in D:\InstallCD.exe. Before you can watch digital TV, you have to scan for available channels in your area. On the Menu Bar, click on Tool, and then click on Scan. You can also click on the Scan button on the left side of the screen. -

You can uncheck a channel so it does not appear in your channel list, or you can select it and click Delete to remove the channel entirely. Radio (listen to digital free-to-air terrestrial radio). 4.6 Volume controls At the bottom of the interface is the volume bar. Click on the bar to set the volume to that level, or press the arrow keys on the remote control to decrease or increase the volume. - Page 14 Use the arrow buttons (on the software interface, the PC keyboard or the remote control) to navigate from one page to another or enter a page number directly. You can also click a page reference directly to call up its content, practically with no delay.
- Page 15 Digital TV stations often broadcast Electronic Program Guide, or EPG information. This information includes information about upcoming programs and their playing times, and can be used to see what shows will be playing later in the day and record them.

Page 22: The Timeshift Button
You can rewind or fast forward by using the buttons at the left and right side of the bar, or by dragging the slider left and right. You can also click on the Skip to Beginning button to go to the beginning of the TimeShifted file, and click on Skip to End to move back to what is currently showing. -
Page 23: Schedule Recording
Select the Source you want to record from, then the Channel if you are recording from a TV source. Select the Date if this is a one-time recording. Enter the Start Time and Duration of the program you want to record. -
Page 24: Play Mode
Here you can select the file you wish to view on the right, and it will display in the main window. If the file is an image, it will be displayed. If the file is a movie clip, it will begin to play. You can pause/play or stop the movie using the... -

Q: I can hear TV audio, but I can’t see any video. Make sure you have connected the unit to a USB 2.0 port, and not a USB 1.1 port – the bandwidth of USB 1.1 is not enough for the TV stream to be displayed properly.
