Read the following instructions for use carefully and observe the safety and warning information. 1. General information The novacare Alternating Pressure System AS1 is a system for treatment and prevention of ulcers/decu- ® bitus. As a medical aid, the product is mainly given to medical experts or professional users. Professional users are people who, due to their medical or comparable training, have sufficient knowledge of the product and its use. -

Two air circuits are alternately filled with air via the control unit. Intended use The novacare alternating pressure system AS1 is suitable for use with decubitus grade I (according to ® Seiler) or category I according to EPUAP/NPUAP and is intended for a maximum weight of 120 kg.For the care of heavier persons, novacare alternating pressure systems of the ASX or APM series can be used. - Page 4 Indication: Treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers (decubiti) according to the care plan and in compliance with the national pressure ulcer standard. In case of pain or sensitivity to pain, a more suitable novacare ® should be used for this group of persons.

The feet provided on the base of the control unit enable it to be placed safely on the floor and provide sufficient distance for un- hindered air circulation.

Wipe down or disinfect the control unit regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use any agents containing abrasives, phenols or diethylene glycol monoethyl ether.
