13. EXPLANATION OF INDICATOR LIGHTS

Lights Operation
The ON/OFF button is turned on
When the appliance is turned on
Steam dial open
Cooling cycle required
The water tank is empty or the machine
does not make coffee
The steam function is required
The appliance needs descaling

Meaning
The appliance performs a self-diagnosis
cycle, indicated by sequential flashing of
the lights
Flashing lights: the appliance is heating
up to make coffee
Lights on steadily: the appliance is ready to
make coffee
Lights flashing: close the steam dial
Proceed as described in sect. "7.3 Cooling
cycle".
