    Front Panel High Gain Input - Input for passive basses. Tip: If you have an aggressive playing style and you use a passive bass, you may find that the LOW GAIN input will offer more clean headroom. Low Gain Input - Input for active basses, attenuated 6dB.
  • Page 9 Front Panel High Control - Active EQ control that cuts or boosts high frequencies. Send Jack - Output signal from the preamp that may be used to drive effects or a slave amplifier. Return Jack - Essentially, the input of the power amp that may serve as an input for effects or to drive the power amp as a slave amplifier from another preamp.

    It is perfectly normal for power tubes, like the EL34s in the VB-2, to emit a soft blue glow. Don't pull out tubes if you don't have to. If you constantly pull the power tubes out of the amp it will wear down the tube pins, which will cause loose connections.
