1. INTRODUCTION This Instruction Manual describes method of installing the USB driver to control the PCD-300A/320A(hereinafter referred to as the PCD-300A Series), PCD-300B(hereinafter referred to as the PCD-300B Series), and PCD Series (hereinafter referred to as the PCD). The PCD-300B driver (for Windows 2000/XP/Vista) is stored in the PCD Series CD-R. In addition, the PCD-300B driver is usable under the following operating environment.
2. INSTALLING THE USB DRIVER 2-1 INSTALLING THE USB DRIVER TO Windows 2000 1) Set the PCD series CD-R to the PC and turn ON the PC to start up the PC. At this time, be sure to turn ON the PCD in advance. 2) After the PC is started up, connect the PCD to the PC.

4) Then, it is required to specify a location where the PCD-300B driver is stored. For optional searching location, check the Specify a location and click the Next > button. 5) For selecting the location where the PCD-300B driver is stored, click the Browse… button. 6) A Locate File dialog box appears.

7) The specified folder appears on the Copy manufacturer’s file from: field and click the OK button. 8) The location of the previously specified setup information file (pcd300b.inf) appears on the window. 9) Starts installing the PCD-300B driver. After it is completed, a message Windows has finished installing the software for this device appears. Click the Finish button. 10) After installation of the PCD-300B driver is completed, select from the start menu in due order from Start →...
2-2 INSTALLING THE USB DRIVER TO Windows XP 1) Set the PCD series CD-R to the PC and turn ON the PC to start up the PC. At this time, be sure to turn ON the PCD in advance. 2) After the PC is started, connect the PCD to the PC. The PC automatically recognizes the PCD and the Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box appears.

4) Next, it is required to specify a location where the PCD-300B driver is stored. When searching the target driver, select the Search for the best driver in these locations. And, check only the Include this location in the search and click the Browse button. 5) Then, the Browse For Folder dialog box appears.

6) Previously specified folder appears under the Include this location in the search: box checked in item 4). Press the Next > button to proceed to the next step. 7) Starts installing the PCD-300B driver. After it is completed, a message The Wizard has finished installing the software for: appears. Click the Finish button for finishing the installation.

8) After installation of the PCD-300B driver is completed, select from the start menu in due order from Start → Control Panel → Hardware → Device Manager for starting the Device Manager. If the PCD300B Device is indicated, the installation of the PCD-300B driver is completed.
2-3 INSTALLING THE USB DRIVER TO Windows VISTA 1) Set the PCD series CD-R to the PC and turn ON the PC to start up the PC. At this time, be sure to turn ON the PCD in advance. 2) After the PC is started, connect the PCD to the PC. The PC automatically recognizes the PCD and the Found New Hardware dialog box appears.

4) After a while, the Found New Hardware – Unknown device dialog box appears. A message Windows couldn’t find driver software for your device appears on the dialog box. Here, select the Browse my computer for driver software (advanced). 5) It is required to specify a location where PCD-300B driver is stored. A Search for driver software in this location: field appears on the dialog box.

6) Next, specify a location where PCD-300B driver is stored. The Browse For Folder dialog box appears. Select the folder storing the PCD-300B driver for Windows Vista and click the OK button. 7) The specified folder appears under the comment Search for driver software in this location:. Press the Next >...

8) Although, it is ready for installing the PCD-300B driver, the warning dialog box Windows Security appears. A message Windows can’t verify the publisher of this driver software appears on the dialog box. Here, select the Install this driver software anyway to continue the PCD-300B driver installation. 9) Then, installation of the PCD-300B driver starts.

10) After installation of the PCD-300B driver is completed, select from the start menu in due order from Start → Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Device Manager for starting the Device Manager. At this time, the User Account Control dialog box appears. Here, a message asking you a permission to start the Device Manager of Windows Administrator Tool appears.
3-1 UPDATING THE USB DRIVER IN Windows 2000 1) Set the PCD-300 Series CD-R storing the PCD-300B driver to the PC and start up the PC. At this time, be sure to turn ON the PCD in advance.

4) Indicate the PCD300A Device Properties and click the Update Driver… button. 5) The Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box appears. Click the Next > button.

6) It is required to install the PCD-300B driver. Select the Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended) and click the Next > button. 7) PCD-300A driver currently installed on the PC is indicated. For updating the currently installed driver to a new version, it is required to specify a driver or folder storing the PCD-300B.

8) For selecting a location where PCD-300B driver is stored, select the Browse… button. 9) Then, a dialog box to specify the location of the file appears. Open the folder storing the PCD-300B driver for Windows 2000, select the setup information file (inf File) in the folder and click the Open button.

10) On the next window, the PCD-300A driver currently installed on the PC is indicated, but the driver selected in item 9) is not yet selected. Here, check the Install one of the other drivers and click the Next > button. 11) USB Driver for PCD-300B is indicated on the Driver List.

12) Automatically starts updating the target driver. After installation of the PCD-300B driver is completed, the message Windows has finished installing the software for this device appears. Then, click the Finish button. 13) The previous target property is updated and displayed on the USB Driver for PCD300B dialog box. Click the Close button to close the Properties dialog box.
3-2 UPDATING THE USB DRIVER IN Windows XP 1) Set the PCD-300 Series CD-R storing the PCD-300B driver to the PC and start the PC. At this time, be sure to turn ON the PCD in advance. 2) Connect the PCD to the PC.

5) The Hardware Update Wizard dialog box appears. A message Can windows connect to Windows Update to search for software? appears on the dialog box. Here, select the No, not this time and click the Next > button. 6) Here, it is required to select the installation method of the target driver. Select the Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click the Next >...

7) Next, it is required to specify the location storing the PCD-300B driver. Select the Search for the best driver in these locations.
