Power Supply and Power Cord Use CAUTION Disconnect the power cord(s) before installing or removing the product in/from the server. Make sure to power off the server and disconnect the power cord(s) from a power outlet and DC cable from the product before installing/removing the product in/from the server, or connecting with the peripheral devices.
Do not use any unauthorized interface cable. Use only interface cables authorized by NEC and locate a proper device and connector before connecting a cable. Using an unauthorized cable or connecting a cable to an improper destination may cause a short circuit, resulting in a fire.
Cleaning and Working wit h the Product WARNING Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the server. Never attempt to disassemble, repair, or alter the product on any occasion. Failure to follow this instruction may cause an electric shock or fire as well as malfunctions of the product. Disconnect the power plug before accessing inside the server.

SAS/SATA connector (IN 2) The SAS/SATA connector(IN) is used to connect the RAID controller to the Expander card. Use the MINI SAS cable (N8103-166 accessories). SAS/SATA connector (OUT 6) The SAS/SATA connector(OUT) is used to connect the Expander card to the cage.

When installing the Expander card, make sure the connector of the card fits the connector of the PCI slot. Confirm the slot appropriate to the Expander card you are going to install. Notice Push the retention to unlock the PCI card from PCI slot.

Install a PCI board to the PCI slot. When installing the board, surely insert a terminal part of the PCI card to the PCI slot. Bring back the lever to its original position, and fix the PCI card. The installation state of the Expander card and the RAID card...

Make sure that the head of a PCI card bracket is seated into the fixed slot. Depending on type of PCI cards, the terminal part of the PCI card may be too large to fit in the connector. If you have trouble installing the card, remove the card once and try again.

Connect K410-274(00) Internal SAS/SATA cable between the Expander card and the option HDD cage in accordance with the figure below. If the connection is wrong, ID of the HDD may not be displayed correctly. 2.5-inch HDD cage To use 8 hard disk drives, a single 2.5-inch HDD cage are required. To use 9 to 16 hard disk drives, two 2.5-inch HDD cages are required.
