The Atom comes shipped in Sleep mode. To
install the Atom, it must first be placed into
Install mode.
To reboot the Atom and place it in Install
mode, hold the button for 8 seconds.
During the first 30 seconds of a reboot, the
operation modes can be changed by pressing
the button 5 times. The device will flash
multiple times to indicate the current mode.
Install mode is indicated by 2 white LED
flashes.
In Install mode, the Bluetooth radio will turn on
more often so a device pairing can be made.
If a connection is made, the unit will
automatically change to Ready mode, and stay
in that state.
If no connections are made 30 minutes after
changing to Install mode, the Atom will go
back to low-power mode to save battery.
Pressing the button once causes the Atom to
wake up and send collected data to its parent
device.
Bluetooth will automatically turn on at set
intervals to transmit collected data to the
parent device.
